Do you know how to add google analytics on        website ?

An easy  step by step of this guide will help you opening a analytics acount and will show you how to get analysis  from the analytic dsahboard. Firt of all if you do not know what google analytic is, in simple it gives you the all the information related to number of visits, number of user ,countries from where visitors are coming, their interest, types of browsers they use, % of desktop and mobile users and so on.

step 1:sign up and set the blog url

Go to https://analytics.google.com and sign up for an account. Hope you have already verified your site with google and added to your property in webmaster tool.

If you haven’t done yet no problem, go to http://google.com/webmasters/tools

step 2: copy the code and paste it in the widget area

there is a button [send test traffic] which will help you test for proper integration
copy the code generated and paste it in the widget area. If you are a wordpress or blogspot user it is very easy to do that. Go to widget section and add a widget for text or html. paste the code and After that save it and ready to go to analytic dashboard.

This code in  <script> is universal code which you can use anywhere and this code is sufficient for wordpress and blogspot blogger. Never try to add the PHP code by yourself unless and unless you know how to do it. The PHP code has to insert in the body section of every page. Better not to try.

Keep in mind it takes google 24 hours to show your site stats. So, just after pasting the code there will not be any data for you to show. Always it shows previous day site stats.

step 3: how to check your blog performance and analyse

A blog with blank page

As you can see here the pageviews is very less ,it’s ok for a new blogger having 10 or 12 users. But having 100% bounce rate is not good at all

If you do not know bounce rate is the rate of visitors leaving your blog just after visting it. Here 100% bounce  means no one has found interesting in your blog as soon as they landed on the page and they left. A good blog like shoutmeloud has 65 to 75 % bounce rate which is acceptable. But you can try even better that that.

Here in that pie chart you can see 100% there is new visitors. That means no one liked your blog and never came back to see what new interesting content is coing. A green section of the pie shows the number of return visitors.

Here average session is also very low with 00:00:00 , that means no one spent and time on your blog.
